Skylighght is a duet collaboratively composed and performed by vocalist Gelsey Bell and saxophonist Erin Rogers. The two performers move through space wordlessly, directing sound in pathways that dance across the walls, ceiling and floor, weaving through instrument and vocal caverns resulting in a rainbow of sounds and expressions.
You Must Read a Lot of Jung by Dave Ruder brings all six members of thingNY to the floor. Slow, soft, and spacious, scored for voice, violin, clarinet, tenor sax, cello, and cymbal, Jung works over themes and ideas from previous thingNY pieces written by members of the ensemble.
